Jonathan Goodman, President and CEO of Dundee Goodman Merchant Partners, is also Chairman and CEO of Dundee Corporation, a diversified holding company with investments in companies in the wealth management, resources, agriculture and real estate verticals. Mr. Goodman served as CEO of Dundee Precious Metals (DPM-T) from 1995 to 2003, as Executive Chairman from April 2013 to September 2017, at which time he was appointed Chairman. Mr. Goodman also serves as Chairman of Toachi Mining Inc. (TIM-V). Mr. Goodman has over 30 years of experience in the resource and investment industry, working as a geologist, senior analyst, portfolio manager and as CEO of a producing mining company. Mr. Goodman joined Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Ltd. in 1990, where he was responsible for the selection of Canadian equities and played a major role in developing asset allocation strategies, before becoming the company’s President. He is also one of the founding partners of Goepel Shields and Partners, an investment firm. Mr. Goodman graduated from the Colorado School of Mines as a Professional Engineer, holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Robert Dixon joins DGMP bringing with him18 years of international capital markets experience. Robert’s extensive global contacts will help DGMP maintain relationships with like-minded investors globally as we seek financial partners in the investments we make. Most recently, Robert was a Partner, Institutional Sales at Clarus Securities where he contributed to the building of the mining team between 2010-2018. Prior to joining Clarus in 2010, Robert was VP Institutional Sales at Dundee Securities 2004-2010. Robert started his capital markers career living in London UK (99-2004) where he maintains extensive corporate and institutional relationships within the mining investment community. While in London Robert held roles as VP of Institutional Sales at Bryan Garnier & Co. UK, 2002-2004; CRM Manager at Standard & Poors, 2000-2002 UK. Robert earned a BA from the University of Victoria - 1999. He also earned the Kellogg-Schulich MBA - 2009.
Rick Cohen joins DGMP from Primary Capital Inc. as a Managing Director, having worked there from 2011 to 2018. Previously he served as a Managing Director with Dundee Securities in Investment Banking from 1998 to 2010. Rick was also a mining analyst with Goepel McDermid (1991-1998), BBN James Capel (1986-1991) and Prudential Bache Securities (1983-1986). From 1979 to 1981, Rick worked as a mill metallurgist for Utah Mines Ltd. at their Island Copper Mine. He has traveled to more than 50 countries looking at mining projects over his career. Rick received his B.A.Sc. in Mineral Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1979 and his MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. Mr. Cohen is designated as a Professional Engineer in the Provinces of British Columbia and Ontario. He is currently a director of Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. and Kaizen Discovery Inc. and he is a former director of Peregrine Metals Ltd. which was acquired by Stillwater Mining Company in 2011.
Rob Klassen joins DGMP from Primary Capital as a Managing Director, having worked there from 2012 to 2018. Previously Rob served as the Managing Director of Investment Banking at Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Inc. from 2001 to 2010. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Mining Research with Goepel Shields from 1996 to 2001. Rob has 20 years of experience in the Canadian capital markets with specific expertise in mining research and investment banking. He earned a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Saskatchewan and MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He’s also a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, the CIM and the Association of Mineral Exploration British Columbia.
Olav Langelaar joins DGMP from Primary Capital Inc. as Managing Director, having worked there from 2011 until 2018. Previously he served as Director Investment Banking from 2007 to 2011 for Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Inc. His previous industry experience includes roles with Ospraie Gold and Amerigo Resources (VP Corporate Development), Placer Dome (Manager of Corporate Finance and Insurance), Cameco, Cominco (now Teck), and Agrium (now Nutrien, as Engineer, Maintenance and Construction). Olav has over 20 years in the Canadian capital markets with specific expertise in mining operations and investment banking. He earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and the Association of Mineral Exploration British Columbia.
Andrew Nelson joins Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Inc. from Primary Capital Inc. as an Analyst, having worked there from 2017 to 2018. Previously he worked in public practice accounting at an international and mid-size firm as a financial auditor from 2013 to 2017 advising TSX & TSXV listed mining issuers. Andrew has over 5 years of accounting, tax, corporate finance, and valuation experience in the Canadian capital markets exclusively focused on mining. He obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant designation from the CPA Western School of Business, and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance from the Langara School of Management. He is also a member in good standing of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. His contributions to the resource community involve acting as an Executive Officer with the Vancouver Chapter of Young Mining Professionals, a global not-for-profit, which holds networking events for young professionals in Vancouver's metals & mining industry.
